Ramsbottom Angling Association – Privacy Notice
The personal data collected by Ramsbottom Angling Association will solely be used and sanctioned by the committee for the following purposes:
- To record personal club membership.
- To enable communication with a member using text, e mail, telephone or letter.
- To record fees paid for membership.
- To record date of birth if under 16 years of age on application form or date of birth when joining the club through Clubmate.
- To record essential parental consent details ( form)
Our legal basis for processing the personal data is to:
- Enable fees paid and membership to be recorded in an auditable form.
- Provide a vehicle for communication with members via text, mobile phone, telephone, e mail, letter, Fishermans Way or Clubmate.
- Provide a record as required to enable global data numbers ( e.g. gender, category of membership etc) to meet our obligations for lease of waters and grant returns.
- Ensure child safety and child protection.
Any legitimate interests pursued by us, or third parties we use are as follows:
- Data analysis to enable grant applications to provide auditable figures in relation to club membership numbers and categories.
- Data analysis of membership for Bury Metropolitan Borough for the calculation of water license fees.
- Potential data returns to Angling Trust on membership.

By consenting to this privacy notice you are giving us permission to process your personal data specifically for the purposes identified. Consent is required for Ramsbottom Angling Association to process both types of personal data, but it must be explicitly given. Where we are asking you for sensitive personal data we will always tell you why and how the information will be used.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing ( text, e mail or letter) directly to either the Chairman or Secretary of Ramsbottom Angling Association.
