CROWN POOLS

Brief description of fishery:
The bottom lake is very deep, being around 14 foot deep in parts. This lake also had a supply of Mirror Carp introduced in 2023 within the stocking of the top lake. There was already some carp in the lake along with Roach, Perch, Tench and Grass Carp although it’s not been out for a while.

The bottom lake can only be fished from two sides due to the lake being lower than the top and having a steep embankment where the over flow is from the top lake and the back drop of trees from the road side.
When in full bloom the backdrop of the lake looks so beautiful. The trees really dispel the noise from the road making it a nice tranquil place to fish.

These are very peaceful lakes and Barry (Bailiff) is a regular there making daily visits if not already fishing there. He will be able to advise you of where the fish have been caught and what baits are working best.

There have been no matches on the lakes for the last few years.

Ensure you have a key for the gate and your permit with you. Checks are always made if you don’t have them with you, you may be asked to leave. Please ensure the gate is locked behind you on entry and exit.

As a member you can do your bit and ensure the lakes are fished only by members.

Membership helps us stock more fish in the waters each year, as a part of the membership money you pay goes toward the fish fund.
