CLARENDON STREET

Brief description of fishery:

This is a lake that the Association owns. The lake can be found at the very bottom of Clarendon Street and through the tree lined pathway between the factories. 100 yards down the footpath on the right hand side you will find the lake. You can also come down the steps from Falcon drive and you will see the lake.

This is a beautiful lake with many surprises in the water. It has a variety of species where you never know what you will catch and what size from a 2 oz Roach to a 10lb carp, There’s even some beautiful coloured Koi in there for that superb surprise. Everybody loves an instant win fish.

The lake is secured by metal fencing and you will need a key to enter the lake. We have a rule to keep the gate locked at all times. Once in the secure fencing there is a small slope as you enter and are greeted with 12 recently refurbished pegs along with a large disabled access peg.

On the far side there is a large Lily bed which really holds some fish, but be careful fishing next to it !

All I can say is once you’ve been here you will be back for another surprise fishing session. sometimes you have to get there early to get a peg as it was full most weekends.

The lake is around 5 -6 foot deep and does have a silty bottom with patches of lilies and reeds.

Bait – Maggots, Corn, soft pellets and Worm all work very well.
